Bartłomiej Getlich, Director of the Safety and Information Security Department at the UKNF, spoke at the 12th Cash Handling Congress, an event dedicated to current trends, strategies, and innovative solutions that shape the cash market.

This year’s discussions were dominated by the topics of security and stable cash circulation as well as current and predicted trends and innovative solutions that shape the cash market in Poland.

Bartłomiej Getlich delivered a presentation on the resilience of financial infrastructure in the light of CER during a session devoted to the resilience of the cash system during a crisis.

He presented main objectives behind the amended Act on crisis management and outlined the challenges related to ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure by operators which will be selected for the ‘banking and financial market infrastructure’ after introducing implementing acts to the act in question. 

From the perspective of talks about security and safekeeping of monetary values by supervised entities, an important element was also the discussion on the new tasks of the KNF related to keeping the register of facilities subject to obligatory security measures under the amended Act on the protection of persons and property.
